Can We Talk? Join Speaker Kelly O’Brian, Illinois Executive Director of the Kennedy Forum on Mental Health Parity, for an evening of open discussion regarding mental health as part of the Chicago Community Trusts #OntheTable2017. To recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, Chicago area women are finding their voices to talk about emotional well-being and the importance of health care benefits. (Learn more and rsvp)

Heather Booth: Changing the World This documentary film chronicles the life of activist and community organizer Heather Booth. Booth has been fighting for progressive causes for more than five decades, and is responsible for founding the Midwest Academy which has trained thousands of activists. The documentary premieres in Chicago this weekend, and screenings will be followed by discussions with Booth and director Lilly Rivlin. Special guests also include U.S Representatives Jan Schakowsky and Luis Gutiérrez (Friday), as well as former Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Jacky Grimshaw and former Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer (Saturday).
