In Chicago, members of the Chicago Women Take Action coalition joined the  overflow crowd outside the SEIU Healthcare Illinois headquarters on South Halsted street. Hundreds were packed into the hall and hundreds had been turned away, organizers said. Speakers included:  Senator Dick Durbin; Congresspersons Jan Schakowsky, Brad Schneider, Raja Krishnamorthi;  Cook County Board President Toni Preckwindle; SEIU President Mary Kay Henry; Rev. Jessie Jackson; and a number of other union and  healthcare activists.

Despite Republican rhetoric to the contrary, a January poll by the Kaiser Family Foundation, found that high health care costs, not the Affordable Care Act, is the top area of concern for Americans.
